Gravity Cheer

Gravity Cares

In 2016, spearheaded by a volunteer cheer parent, Gravity began it’s program of giving back and spreading awareness with Gravity Cares. ¬†Throughout the year, Gravity members, cheerleaders and parents alike, get together to help raise funds and awareness for a variety of causes such as Childhood Epilepsy Awareness, Red Nose Day, St. Jude’s, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Suffolk County NY, Cohen’s Children’s Hospital, The Miracle League, Friends of Freddie Pet Rescue, Little Flower Children’s Home, Safe House of L.I., E.J. Autism Foundation, Coastal Cleanup at Smithpoint, Taylor’s Hope, Histiocytosis Awareness, Treats for Troops and Get A Bull Animal Rescue…..just to name a few.

A major part of our Gravity Cares program is our special needs team “Shooting Stars“. ¬†Led by Coaches Victoria and Brianna and managed by our volunteer parents, our full year cheerleaders help their Shooting Star team mates learn and perform their own routine. ¬†Gravity has been fortunate to have two seasons working with our talented Shooting Stars. ¬†They have made appearances locally at Sachem Youth Sports Club’s home cheer competition and a Spirit Brand’s local competition at Stony Brook University.
